Block Planes

Block planes are available in a variety of patterns, but all are designed to cut end grain. They have a cast iron body varying in length between 140mm and 160mm with cutter widths varying between 35mm (1.3/8in) and 42mm (1.5/8in), depending on which model. They are used for fine finishing and chamfering, not only on wood but also plastics and uPVC.
