Allfix Kitting Service, Time is Money

Kitting

Allfix Ltd has expanded our Kitting Team to allow more of our customers the potential to take advantage of our Kitting Service. We have a dedicated line of Kitters working directly as if they were working for you.

The Kitting Service is used to supply complex, multi-level kits of parts for our OEM customers or customers who simply prefer to receive one package containing several parts for their assembly lines and/or incorporate these kits into goods as part of their despatch process. Specialised Computer software for kitting allows the components of a kit to be broken down to individual items to ensure all components and assemblies involved in a kit are purchased and kitted together in accordance with the customer's specification.

Our stringent quality system ensures the kits are produced correctly and in accordance with the customer's specification, every stage of the process is quality controlled to ensure 100% conformance.

When an appropriate Kit Assembly requires a working instruction, Allfix produce working instruction checklists for our Kitters to accurately produce the kit in accordance with the customer requirements.

Allfix Technical Hub Team - At the preparation stage of any kitting process our dedicated Technical Hub Team will be on hand with the customer to advise and discuss, plan and instruct the Kitting process to ensure accuracy and efficiency is maintained throughout the processes. Our Quality Control team will then be responsible to ensure the processes are completed in accordance with the original design/specifications and are carried out within the required procedures and systems.

The advantages of parts kitting to the customer are significant:

  • Reduced Purchasing Activity - only one part number is required to be ordered
  • Faster Goods Receipt - Only one line is required to be booked in rather than multiple lines, saving time if the goods are to be warehoused.
  • Reduced Supplier Management - Parts kitting will reduce the number of suppliers needed.
  • Reduced Purchase Ledger Activity - Less part numbers results in less invoices
